Travel and Tourism

Pathways

Pathways are made up of courses focused on future careers or further education opportunities

Travel and tourism is as much about far-off shores and foreign travel as tourism in the UK.

Students are taught by lecturers who have worked in the travel and tourism industry. Final year students can go on a trip abroad to put their learning into practice.

As part of the course, students train on a real airplane as cabin crew members. They also go on residential trips where they can practise their resort rep skills.

Careers

Wondering what you can do when you finish your course? There are many different progression routes you can follow, including Higher Education or further training.

Students may also consider careers or job roles such as:

  • Air Cabin Crew
  • Events Manager
  • Travel Agent
  • Cruise Ship Staff
  • Overseas Resort Rep.

As part of your course, you will take part in both Air Cabin Crew training, and Resort Rep training.

These professional training courses will ensure that you have explored many different skills in a range of different areas.
