This two-year music performance or music production course allows you to develop a wide range of skills and explore different areas of the music industry.
You will develop the skills needed to make your way in the modern music industry. These include music performance skills, rehearsal techniques, composing, music producing, music business, music for media and event management.
Our Centre for Creative Industries includes a theatre venue, music production suites and a recording studio to help you explore the many careers available to you in the creative sector.
You will get the chance to create a range of music productions for different purposes, e.g. live events, record releases, radio. You will plan events and crew for live gigs, develop skills in using music software, and perfect your performance skills while learning a host of transferable skills.
You will have the chance to work with our creative agency on client projects and events, gaining essential work experience.
This Study Programme will include English and maths at an appropriate level, and it will support the development of skills towards employability and suitability to progress onto the next level of study.
You will build a portfolio of work that you can use to present to future employers in the creative sector. The full two-year programme is equivalent to three A Levels, meaning you could also progress to university or other higher education courses.
You will learn through a programme of creative practical and written assignments, one-to-one tutorials and peer assessment, helping you to build a large portfolio of work.
We organise enrichment trips to music events and venues in London and Kent, which range between £15 and £20 per trip.
