The purpose of this qualification is to increase learner’s knowledge and awareness of children and young people’s mental health.
By completing the qualification, learners will develop knowledge of:
• Children and young people’s mental health in context
• Mental health problems commonly associated with children and young people
• The impact of mental ill-health on children and young people
• Support available to maintain mental wellbeing in children and young people.
Who is this course for?
This course is ideal for those working in schools or the care sector who would like to enhance their understanding of children and young people’s mental health.
Schedule:
This course will begin onsite for the induction on 5th January and then remote 'Teams' drop ins each Thursday with final submission on 9th February.
For learners who are unable to undertake the course during the advertised dates, we can offer a flexible approach to your learning, and enrol them at various points during the academic year up until 23rd May.
Funding:
If you are unemployed, or in receipt of a low income, you may be eligible for government funding on selected courses, depending on your circumstances. This could cover the full cost or significantly reduce any course fees.
Please note that all candidates must be 19+ years of age before starting this course.
