Perfect if you are looking to start your career as a teaching assistant in a specialist school.
This course is designed for those intending to work or volunteer in primary, secondary or special schools. It covers a wide range of areas including children and young people’s development, supporting those with disabilities or special educational needs, and communication and professional relationships.
Modules covered include:
This Study Programme will include English and maths at an appropriate level, and it will support the development of skills towards employability and suitability to progress onto the next level of study.
4 Cs or 4s including English and maths at Level 4.
You will also need to:
Assessment will be via the building of a portfolio of coursework and workplace assessments.
Progression routes include the Level 3 Early Years Educator course. Alternatively, you may wish to progress into employment.
This course will take place on Tuesday evenings from 5pm - 7.30pm
