Pathways are made up of courses focused on future careers or further education opportunities
With a strong focus on sport and leisure leadership, our courses offer hands-on learning and will give you practical experience across the industry. They will also help you develop confidence, teamworking skills and professional standards that are required in the sport and leisure sector.
Example: Sports coaches, instructors and officials
Across the UK the workforce is projected to expand by 24% over the period to 2027, adding 22,443 jobs. In the same period, 71% of the workforce is projected to retire, creating 66,916 job openings.
Sports coaches, instructors and officials work with amateur and professional sportsmen and women to enhance performance, encourage greater participation in sport, supervise recreational activities such as canoeing and mountaineering, and organise and officiate at sporting events according to established rules.
