This course will allow those new to plumbing to become accredited with a 'competent person scheme' and offer a wider range of services.
This is a new short course being offered by City & Guilds. The Unvented Hot Water Cylinder Systems course will have a theory session in the day, plus a practical assessment at the end of the course.
This course enables existing workers in the plumbing industry to update their professional competence. It will allow those new to plumbing to become accredited with a competent person scheme, thus helping them increase the work they can access.
These qualifications are intended for those learners who wish to learn about the legal requirements for plumbing systems in the UK covered by Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations and Water Byelaws and/or the Installation, commissioning and safety aspects of hot water systems for domestic use in accordance with UK Building Regulations.
Applicants must be aged 19 or over.
You will need to have previously completed the Level 2 Plumbing qualification.
Assessment will be by online exam (Water Regulations) plus a practical assessment (Unvented Hot Water Cylinder Systems).
