The Student Centre
The Student Centre is a facility available to all students. It offers 12 internet accessible computers which are the only computers on campus to allow access to Facebook. There are sofas, two pool tables and 42” flat screen TV and a table tennis table. The Student Centre also is the base for the Enrichment Team - Activities Coordinator, Sport Coordinator and Student Centre Administrator. This is the office where all extracurricular (College Plus) activities are organised.
The Student Centre provides a wide range of leisure activities and voluntary opportunities for students at Thanet College. This includes:
- Providing sports and activities on a Wednesday afternoon (College Plus)
- Promoting the National Union of Students (NUS)
- Organising trips for students to venues such as Thorpe Park, paintballing & ice-skating
- Arranging regular events in the Student Centre
- Hosting the Sexual Health Clinic
