Your Health, Safety & Well Being
Thanet College is committed to maintaining and promoting the health, safety and well being of all staff, students and visitors.
All students are issued with an identity card at enrolment. Identity cards should be worn visibly at all times. You will not be able to access computers, printers or the library without your card. Cards are checked on a regular basis and students without a card may be asked to return home.
We believe that EVERYONE who works or studies here at Thanet College will share in our core values. We also have a responsibility to protect the rights for all, whatever their background, appearance, lifestyle, culture, status or belief. In practice, this means being responsible for ourselves and for others and considering the impact of our behaviour on others.
As a student at Thanet College you can be assured that your individual needs will be taken into consideration and that you have opportunities to fulfil your potential, achieve your learning goals and equip you for the next steps in your life.
We will not tolerate discrimination on the grounds of disability, race, gender, religion, age or sexuality and there are rigorous procedures in place to support this.
A dedicated Safeguarding Team can be contacted if College staff or learners have any concerns about theirs, or anybody else’s wellbeing and safety.
