Information, Advice & Guidance
The College team of Careers Advisers are available to give impartial and confidential advice on a range of opportunities such as:
- Which course or career to choose
- How to go on to university, other further or higher education or training
- How to progress towards educational or career goals by helping to examine entry requirements or progression routes
- How to journey from where you are at present to where you want to be.
The careers library offers a range of reference books and computer-based diagnostic career packages and university prospectuses.
Students (past, present or potential) can also access one-to-one guidance interviews or, if they prefer, telephone or email guidance to help make those important educational or career decisions. The College will continue to offer guidance once students start their courses or training and after the student has moved on.
Thanet College has achieved the Investor in Careers Award and is currently the only FE institution in Kent with this accolade. In addition, the careers team work to the National IAG Code of Principles and the College is accredited by Matrix (the National Quality Standard for IAG).
