We provide a tutor free zone where students can enjoy their time while outside of lessons at Thanet College between 8.30am and 4pm. The Centre is made up of two areas, The Chillout Zone and The Live Lounge.

The Chillout Zone has comfy sofas with a 42” TV setup with Sky freeview. You can use the area to chat over a cup of tea that is available just down the hall from The Station college shop, watch daytime TV or even log into social networks on one of the ten computers available for recreational use! Of course you would also be more than welcome to work on your coursework if you wish to!

The Live Lounge hosts many facilities including two pool tables (which are charged), table tennis, giant Jenga and a projector that you can use to connect an xbox kinnect system or used to play music from your iPod.

The Student Centre is an area for students to relax and socialise and is the focal point for registering for work experience and enrichment activities. The main purpose of the centre is to make the Learner Journey as enjoyable and memorable as possible.
