Students from the Hair, Beauty, Tourism and Fitness section attended the “Thanet Skillsfest ‘09”event held at St Augustine’s Abbey on Friday 6^th November.

 

The students from Levels 2 & 3 Beauty Therapy gave demonstrations in Epilation and gave free treatments of Facials and Manicures to the audience The Hairdressing students demonstrated the different techniques used for braiding, platting and working with tongs. The stand was particularly busy with interested members of the public who gave good positive feedback for the event. The students commented on how much they enjoyed themselves and they felt that they had achieved great experience in this area.

 

 

Demonstrations were also given by the fitness team while our tourism students helped with the days organisation by helping visitors find their way around the event.
