Learning Leads to Fun for all the Family
A group of
Thanet College students have been congratulated for their hard work in
completing a selection of courses. A Family Fun Day Celebration was held in the
College grounds outside in the sunshine. Invited guests brought their children
along to enjoy a Bouncy Castle and eye catching face painting created by Bryony
at Fancy Face. Also there were local outfit Move n Smooth, promoting health and
physical activity with their unique ‘Smoothie Bike’.
The Focus On Skills project was run in connection with a number of local groups such as SureStart Millmead, The Shaw Trust and Newlands Children’s Centre. Around 80 students completed courses that taught them vital confidence building and job seeking skills.
