German Students Work Experience
A group of German students spent two weeks in Thanet working with local companies and gaining valuable experience in the workplace.
The students worked at Invicta Produce, Stagecoach, Weidmuller, Thanet College Hair, Beauty & Fitness and PAWS departments, Cummins, CCCU, Kent School of English, Hablemos.
During their visit they also had a few days out visiting Canterbury, London and Brighton.
Thanet College lecturer Kim Neve said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for both our students who were welcomed in Germany for three weeks in May and for the German Students who werebrilliantly supported by both the work placements and their host families throughout the exchange.
“Huge thanks to the British Council and Inwent as withoutthe financialsupport this would not take place.”
Sue Wall from Kent School of English said: “I'm so pleased that Jasmin enjoyed her time at KSE.
“She was a really charming young woman who triedvery hard to improve her English in the work situation.
“I hope we will be able to help you with other work experience placements in the future.”
