Media and Photography students received bags of valuable camera equipment from a local resident.
Rev Jim Jones contacted the college to donate his Pentax camera along with filters, lenses, flash equipment and accessories. Jim now uses a digital camera and didn’t want to see his well loved equipment got to waste.
BTEC Media students Franki Wilson and Robert Malbon picked up the bits from Jim’s home in Broadstairs. Alongside her full time course Franki also attends Photography evening classes at the college, “We use Pentax cameras so it’s great to have some extra kit”, she said.
Media course leader Nigel Breadman said:
“I would like to thank Jim for his donation of camera equipment to the department. A full photographic kit like this will aid our students who studyphotography by giving them access to good quality equipment and a range of lenses to suit most purpose which will, I am sure, enhance their work in the future.”
This is the second donation of its kind to the College since September, the first was dropped off by an as yet unknown gentleman.
