Children in Need 2009
Thanet College was buzzing with activities during this year’s Children in Need day. Staff and students were involved right across the college campus and a whole range of activities took place to help raise money for charity.
Some of the things going on included the Performing Arts students dressing up as Magical Characters, Arts & Sciences held a competition to name the member of staff in baby photos (no prizes for guessing some of them!), the Sales & Marketing team held an indoor boot fair and Registry sold home made cakes.
Our PAWS department, who pull out all of the stops every year, held a ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ style session. The staff and students dressed up in smart suits and danced with partners they had made.
A number of vTalent students held a ‘Dance in the Street’ session where they showed off their body popping moves to anyone who wanted to take part.
Alongside those things listed a number of other events took place throughout the day and the amount raised so far is £1200, this is not the final total as money is still coming in.
