Course Overview
Understanding the environment, its dynamic character and delicate balances, is probably more important today than ever before.
Course Structure
The course is one full day each week (Wednesdays) for 1 year. It is equivalent to one A Level and as such is demanding in terms of number and quality of assignments needed to achieve the necessary standard in such a short time.

- Perceptions of Science
- Application of Number for Science Technicians
- Statistics for Science Technicians
- Science for Environmental Technicians
- Principles of Plant and Soil Science
Qualification Aims
BTEC National Award in Environmental Science (equivalent to 1 A Level)
Assessments/Examinations
The course is assessed by submission of assignments issued throughout the year.

Course cost: £510 including registration
Entry Requirements
You need to have four GCSEs at grade C or above to incude Double Science (or two separate Science subjects), Maths and English OR BTEC First Certificate in Science OR equivalent qualifications (at the discretion of the Science staff). You will also require an interview before being offered a place on this course.

Wednesday 16th September 2009 from 9.00am-5.00pm (1 year course)
