Course Overview
This course is suitable for students progressing from Beauty Therapy level 2 or equivalent with an interest in advancing their skills in this area. It will give you the opportunity of becomming a fully qualified make-up artist.
Course Structure
The programme is delivered over one academic year (36 weeks) at 15 hours per week (usually over 2.5 days).

Qualification Aims
VTCT NVQ in Beauty Therapy at level 3
Assessments/Examinations
Continual written and practical assessments/assignments in both theory and practical aspects of the course. Practical assessments are carried out in a realistic work environment (RWE) on fee-paying clients. A portfolio of evidence is compiled throughout the course and submitted for final verification.
Students are required to obtain work placements within the industry while working towards their qualification. A minimum of 40 hours is required.

The kits for this course of study have been separated into unit/module kits to reduce the initial financial outlay students. However, you must be prepared to order and purchase the relevant kits in advance of unit/module delivery in order not to delay your progress and achievement.
If you are 19 years of age or over at the start of the course, the tuition fees may be payable for £495 per year.
Free tuition is available to those in receipt of certain means tested benefits or totheir un-waged dependants. If you are not on benefits but find it difficult to pay any course related costs because of financial hardship, contact StudentWelfare on 01843 605048 to make an appointment with a welfare advisor.
