The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Stone Therapy Massage is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in; how to provide the relaxing and stress relieving treatment of massage using hot and cold stones.
Underpinning this qualification students will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety, client care and communication. Students will also develop a knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification, such as anatomy and physiology.
The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in providing stone therapy massage treatments to a high level of occupational ability, to enable students to provide services for clients.

Assignments
There will be three assignments to complete, one for each unit. These will break down into the following categories:
One assignment for Anatomy and Physiology.
Three assignments to cover knowledge and understanding for each unit

Practical Assessments
Observations for each unit are carried throughout the course on fee paying clients.

As this is an intensive part time course of study, students will be required to carry out additional practical and theoretical study at home. Due to being a vocational course of study, students are required to initially practice all treatments on each other before applying what they have learned on real clients.

There are various employment opportunities open on successful completion of the course, including in salons, fitness centres, health spas, cruise liners and through self-employment.

Progression opportunities are also open to those who wish to continue studying in subjects such as Reflexology, Aromatherapy and Indian Head Massage.

Entry Requirements:
GCSE Maths and English at C or above or Functional skills at level 2.
Level 3 Diploma in Body Massage or equivalent.
