The Level 2 Certificate in Depilation (QCF) is a course that has been specifically designed to develop practical skills in; how to remove hair using waxing techniques and remove hair using sugaring techniques; removing hair using threading techniques and promotion of products and services to clients in a salon.Underpinning this qualification, students will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practice in a salon environment, client care and communication in beauty related industries and an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification.
The purpose of this qualification is to develop skills in beauty therapy to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform salon services.

Practical:
Following health and safety practice in the salon
Client care and communication in beauty related industries
Remove hair using waxing techniques
Remove hair using sugaring
Provide threading services for hair removal

Theory:
Underpinning knowledge for each therapy and anatomy & Physiology.

Exams:
You will have to site two external online exams

Assignments:
There will be one assignments one for each unit, and one for Anatomy and Physiology.

Practical Assessments:
Observations for each unit are carried throughout the course on fee paying clients.

As this is an intensive part time course of study, students will be required to carry out additional practical and theoretical study at home. Due to being a vocational course of study, students are required to initially practice all treatments on each other before applying what they have learned on real clients.

There are various employment opportunities available on successful completion of the course, including working in salons, and also self-employed as a mobile Beautician.

Progression opportunities are also open to those who wish to continue studying with our Beauty Therapy Level 2 and Hair & Media Make-up Level 2 courses, as well as a large range of part-time evening courses
in subjects such as Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage, Nail Treatment & Nail Services and Facials
