Government statistics show a skills shortage in the Construction Industry. If you want to work within this sector, then Thanet College has a wide range of different courses that could provide you with the expertise you need to succeed.
A wide range of full-time Construction Diploma courses are available in Carpentry, Bench Joinery, Bricklaying, Plastering and Decorative Occupations, designed to meet the needs of both students and employers. All courses offer potential opportunities to progress into Apprenticeships or other Employment.
We have dedicated workshops for all of our vocational subjects, from Motor Vehicle and Carpentry to Painting & Decorating, and we have strong ties with local businesses that have made donations, and also employed Thanet College apprentices.
This year Thanet College was also host for the Skilled Up finals 2011 and put forward entrants into the Guild of Bricklayers Competition.
