Thanet College has the best Catering provision of any Kent College. Our state of the art facilities and outstanding teaching enables students to go on to work within the very best establishments.
Students and staff actively engage in local initiatives such as Broadstairs Food Festival and regularly work with industry experts such as The House of Commons chefs, Gary Rhodes, The Intercontinental Hotel Park Lane, Greg Wallace and The Escoffier Foundation.
Studying with us provides you with the opportunity to learn within a Realistic Working Environment, including the Bay View Restaurant, where you will prepare food, serve and provide silver service to the paying public.
Throughout the year, special events take place including our own National Junior Chef competition, judged by industry professionals and headed up by Gary Rhodes.
Past students have gone on to work in Michelin star restaurants, provide butler service to financier families and open their own businesses. If you have the drive to succeed in Catering and Hospitality, we will provide you with the vocational skills and experience you need.
