What does this course involve?

This Programme will be offered at times throughout the academic year which runs from September 2014 to July 2015. To register your interest please contact Support Services: Broadstairs - 01843605062 (or email supportservices.broadstairs@eastkent.ac.uk) Candidates gain the Accounting Apprenticeship Level 2 framework qualification by completing and achieving:

Competency and Knowledge Qualification: AAT Certificate in Accounting Level 2 Maths and English: Fulfilled by completion of Maths and English at Level 1 ERR: Employment Rights and Responsibilities.

All qualification elements must be achieved to complete the Apprenticeship framework.

Whilst studying the Certificate in Accounting Level 2, Apprentices will learn basic costing principles, how to use manual and computerised accounting systems and how to work with purchase, sales and general ledger. There are 5 modules with an assessment at the end of each one.

Requirements

What qualifications do I need?

Apprentices should be employed within an Accounting environment. They will be invited to attend a short informal interview prior to the course commencing and to undertake an initial assessment to demonstrate the minimum levels of literacy and numeracy required.

All assessments are undertaken using a computer therefore the Apprentice will need to be IT literate. Apprentices will be allocated a personal tutor for guidance throughout the duration of the course.

Assessment

The process of assessment requires the demonstration of skills together with appropriate knowledge and understanding to a specified standard.

Fees & Costs

This course is fully funded if the apprentice is aged under 19. If the apprentice is 19+ then a £500 employer contribution is required. If the apprentice is 24+ please contact us for further information.
