Train to Gain

Train to Gain is a service from the LSC (Learning Skills Council) to help provide training to businesses across England. Training times are flexible and the main aim is to help up skill and re skill workers across England.

The UK is currently facing a skills shortage, which continues to have a negative impact on productivity and competitiveness when faced with faster growing economies. There is an estimated 2.4 million workers in England who do not have any form of qualification; this is recognised by all organisations who work in learning and skills. It is vital that businesses are encouraged to invest in skills or risk loosing their competitive edge.

Thanet College provides a way for employee’s to receive free training under Train to Gain through the LSC if they currently do not hold level 2 vocational qualifications as outlined on the following external website:
