Super Street Fighter IV Logo

There doesn’t seem to be as many good games coming out this month but this is usually expected as we head towards the summer shortage of quality new releases.

The one’s that stand out to me are all sequels from established, well known, titles.

To find out when they are going to be released, and on which consoles, read on.

Super Street Fighter 4
Formats: Ps3, Xbox 360 and PC
Release Date: 30th April
Genre: Fighting

If you are a fan of fighting games and the phenomenal Street Fighter 4, released last year, then you’ll be pleased to know that Super Street Fighter 4 is a huge improvement over the previous title.

New features include the return of some of the series most recognisable characters, extra stages and some new game modes for online play. This is not one for fighting fans to miss out on.

God of War Collection
Formats: PS3
Release Date: 30th April
Genre: Hack and slash

Following requests by fans of the series, Sony commissioned the porting of the original 2 God of War titles to the PS3. The two titles have been improved to take advantage of the increased resolution available with the improved hardware and use of HDTV’s.

If you are a fan of the series, or want to learn what the excitement for God of War 3 was all about last month, then you should give these a play through.

Monster Hunter Tri – Apr 23rd
Formats: Wii
Release Date: 23rd April
Genre: Action RPG

The second best-selling title in Japan for the Nintendo Wii, Monster Hunter Tri is the third instalment in a series of games where you simply journey the landscape, doing what the title suggests – collecting monsters.

If you grew up with Pokemon and want a more in depth, modern experience on the big screen rather than hand-held, this game will probably be right up your street.
