So over the last few weeks I’ve been trying to keep on top of keeping you all up to date with what’s happening locally. We’ve had the usual round of DVD reviews, another cutesy video of the week and a few other posts to do with Go Green Week. We’ve also had quite a few exclamation marks so I’ll try and cut down on those as well(!).
Please click that green oval below to read on…
A couple of DVD’s were reviewed this month, both at different ends of the entertainment spectrum, with an Eastern vampire move, Thirst at one and, the Studio Ghibli Anime, Ocean Waves at the other. Both films are worth a good watch and come highly recommended by the guys over at www.dvdoutsider.co.uk.
Following on for students was our participation in Go Green Week where a variety of mini-events were held throughout the week, including the novelties of ‘Move n Smooth’ fresh fruit smoothies through to the seriousness of screening of the film ‘An Inconvenient Truth’. Information on Fair for All week will be posted up shortly.
In the meantime you might be interested in picking up one of the key videogame releases for the month to pass your time, including highlights like Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth for the Nintendo DS or Heavy Rain for the PS3. Some great titles for a month that is traditionally pretty slow for new game releases.
So far we’ve covered films, DVD’s and also the main event for the college so we still need to look at music CD’s. The library can sometimes be seen as an underused resource at Thanet College, however as the article states, they lend more than just books so pop in and see what they have to offer.
To round things off, the video of the week is of a cutesy puppy which has the strange ability to cry like a baby(!).

Nice to see you joining the Thanet blogging scene I have added a link to http://thanetonline.blogspot.com/
