Governor Vacancies
“Raising Aspirations, Developing Skills, Delivering Quality”
Do you have what it takes to be a College Governor?
Thanet College continues to build on the success and achievement of its students in a wide range of academic and vocational courses, specialising in areas such as music, performing arts, engineering, construction, technology, catering, hospitality, business, hairdressing and international.
College Governors are members of the wide community served by the College who volunteer their senior level experience and skills for public benefit. They are responsible for the educational character and mission of the College, for the proper use of its resources and for safeguarding its assets.
Governors normally attend around eight early evening meetings a year at the College. Please note that as Governors are volunteers, this is an unpaid position but travel expenses for attendance at meetings may be claimed.
If you are interested in becoming a Governor, please apply in writing, stating your areas of expertise and interest, and the Clerk will then contact you when a vacancy arises
