Investors In People Bronze

Born out of the recession of the early 1990s, Investors in People was launched to produce a framework which would help organisations become more effective by developing and harnessing the skills of their people to achieve the organisation’s goals.  For many organisations this was a transformative experience driving them forward to enjoy greater success.

In November 2009 Thanet College was awarded the Bronze certificate for working beyond the standard evidence requirements.

Positive About Disabled People

Thanet College is approved to use the ‘two ticks’ symbol because of our positive policies on the recruitment and retention of disabled people.

This means we have signed up to five key commitments:

  • fair recruitment
  • the development of disabled staff
  • retention of staff who become disabled ensuring all staff help to make the commitments work
  • annually reviewing and improving our commitments

Displaying the ‘two ticks’ symbol shows that we are serious about providing employment opportunities for disabled people. It makes it clear to potential disabled job applicants that we welcome their applications and will focus on their abilities.

It also shows that we acknowledge and value the contribution of disabled people.

Certificate of The Training Quality Standard

Thanet College has achieved full certification of the Training Quality Standards - an assessment framework designed to recognise and celebrate the best organisations delivering training and development solutions for businesses.  The assessment was a rigorous and challenging process, testing all aspects of our work with employers.

The Training Quality Standard is a prestigious achievement which demonstrates that a certified organisation understands and exceeds employers’ needs.
