Victoria joined East Kent College in 2012, rising to become Dover & Folkestone's Campus Principal after demonstrating her capability for innovation and maximising student outcomes and experience.
She joined from Sussex Coast College in Hastings, where she had held the position of Advanced Teaching Practitioner, Director of Teaching and Learning as well as Head of Public Services, Travel and Sport.
She started her career in Further Education at Bexhill College after taking her BSc Hons in Sports Science at Brunel University, before going on to gain a Master’s Degree in Education at Brighton University.
A keen participant in a number of sports, Victoria represented England at Squash between the ages of 15 and 21, rising to become the country’s number three for four years. She also runs, and has completed a number of half-marathons in support of various charities over the years.
During her first two years with East Kent College, Victoria was the Head of Enterprise. She led on developing entrepreneurial strategies across the Broadstairs campus before moving into the role of Curriculum Director.
As Campus Principal she cites the work she has done to build relationships with major businesses – including the Port of Dover, P & O, DFDS, Saga and Dover District Council – as well as the community as key achievements. She has also overseen improvements to the campus itself, with large capital investments in facilities to ensure students have state-of-the-art places to learn.
She lives in Ashford and is married with two children.
